India Health Fund and Tata Institute for Genetics and Society Sign Strategic MoU to Advance Transformative Public Health Innovations

India Health Fund (IHF) and the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing science-led, technology-driven solutions to major communicable and non- communicable health challenges.

The partnership brings together IHF’s catalytic innovation platform and TIGS’s world class research expertise to support development of technologies that can fast track India’s trajectory towards alleviation of its public health challenges.

Under the MoU, IHF and TIGS will jointly work on initiatives across a range of critical areas, including areas of collaboration:

  • Support translation of proof-of-concept stage innovations within climate- sensitive infectious diseases, One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and other allied areas
  • Co-develop innovative solutions, conduct joint research, feasibility assessments, and validation studies for promising health technologies
  • Provide mentorship to start-ups on validation, quality management, evidence generation, regulatory processes and compliance mechanisms
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement

This MoU is poised to catalyze breakthroughs that improve the health and well-being of communities across India.

Signing this strategic MoU, Mr. Madhav Joshi, CEO, IHF says,
